Kali maa is the Hindu goddess of creation, preservation, and destruction

Kali Ma is known as the preserve of Earth, but due to her destructive powers she is also known as “Dark Mother”. The name Kali means She, who is Beyond Time. She is considered as a berserk form of Durga/Parvati, who is consort of Lord Shiva. Kali Ma is simultaneously portrayed as the giver and destructor of life. However, in most of the interpretations she is portrayed as ferocious and evil. She is the mother of the world and the treasure-house of compassion. She is considered as the primordial mass from which all life arouse.

Significance of Bells in Temples

The bell is used to give sound for keeping evil forces away.
The ringing of bell is pleasant to God.
The moment you ring that bell, bell produces sharp but lasting sound which lasts for minimum of seven seconds in echo mode good enough to touch your seven healing centres or chakras in your body. The moment bell sound happens your brain is emptied of all thoughts.

Reason behind celebrating Nag Panchami

The reason of celebrating this day must be that snakes are a great threat to mankind during these months. They usually come out of their holes as rainwater seeps in and while looking for shelter they might harm humans. However, this is why they are worshipped this day and fed with milk.

It is also believed that Krishna, a Hindu God had saved the lives of people from the harassment of Kaliya, the snake. One day, when Krishna was still quite young, was playing by the side of river Yamuna and his ball got stuck in the branches of a tree that was just by the side of the river. While trying to get that ball, Krishna fell into the river. When Kaliya, the snake attacked him, he fought and after some time the snake understood that he was not an ordinary child. This was when he pleaded Krishna not to kill him and Krishna spared him by taking a promise that he will not harass the people anymore. Nag Panchmi is celebrated as the victory of Krishna on Kaliya, the most dangerous snake.

Stop Shri Radhe Maa's unfair trial by media

Mumbai, August 3, 2015: Humble pranams to you! I write to express the unhappiness of devotees at the adverse coverage on Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa in some channels. The reports are full of inaccuracies, unsubstantiated allegations, and rumors that have no basis in fact. It is unfortunate that a channel as respected as yours has also joined lesser known papers in broadcasting such reports, which rarely give devotees like me an opportunity to present our side of the story.

I wish to highlight some facts that are widely being misreported in media that appear to be connected with a dispute between Shri Nakul Gupta and the extended Gupta joint family. Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa has no connection with the matter. Guru Maa has blessed us by sharing the Gupta family home for the last 12 years. For some reason the reports insist on calling the house an 'ashram'. We sincerely hope that you will bear these facts in mind while reporting. We have firm faith in the courts and are certain that the truth will finally prevail.

As a humble servant of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa, I offer myself at your service whenever you need a clarification or comment on any report that your esteemed journalists work on for your channels. Guru Maa has supported hundreds of charities, NGOs and social service initiatives in the last two decades that would definitely benefit from wider publicity in your channel. You may visit www.radhemaa.com to know more about these efforts. We shall be happy to share more information as and when required by you.

It would be my pleasure as a devotee to welcome you to the darbar of Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa and serve you langar.
Thanking you,

yours sincerely.

Managing Trustee,
